Xiaomi unveiled its latest flagship smartphone this morning, but the company had “one more thing” to show off. Alongside the metal Mi4, the Chinese phone-maker unveiled its first wearable device, a fitness tracking wristband priced at just CN¥79 (roughly $13).
The Mi Band works similarly to popular devices from FitBit or Jawbone, tracking your daily exercise while also monitoring your sleep patterns at night. The new wristband also serves as a “smart alarm” clock, waiting until the right moment in your sleep cycle to wake you up. The design itself is nothing too impressive, but it offers a 30-day battery, is resistant against water and has interchangeable bands ranging form plastic to leather.
